So as some of you may know my Senior Photography Thesis will be the two year documentation of one woman... my mother, going through breast cancer. The beginning phase of my project, the first year was taking black and white photos that included prosthesis and wig fittings, her mastectomy, hospital stays, post surgical visits, healing, chemotherapy, losing her hair and radiation. At the end of radiation on September 16, 2010 I began taking daily pictures of her and will continue to do so until this September 16. In the year’s time it shows her hair growing back, radiation burns healing, daily emotions and overall emphasizes the painstaking journey back to “normalcy”. This two-year all encompassing project will be complete by October, right in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I hope to be able to share this with others who have been affected by the disease and am looking for outlets in which to do this in addition to my Tyler show... if anyone should know of anything
